Beaver’s Angela Pell – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Beaver High School sophomore Angela Pell is a member of the varsity cheer squad and the FFA chapter.

Pell was in the seventh grade when she joined FFA.

“I first got involved with FFA the summer of my seventh grade year,” Pell said. “Honestly, I have always wanted to do something in the FFA.”

For Pell, there are many reasons she enjoys being part of the FFA chapter at BHS.

“I really enjoy getting to meet everyone and go on all of the trips we go on,” Pell said. “I do livestock judging, I am an officer, I show livestock and I am going to do speech contests. I show sheep, and pigs. I did show goats last year and cattle when I was younger.”

Pell started cheering when she was 12 years old. The sport has taught her a lot about being a teammate and what it means to work hard for one common goal.

“You honestly learn how to trust people on your squad and even in everyday life,” said Pell.

As for her future plans, Pell said she is still working out those details, but she does know she wants to continue working in agriculture. Pell offers this advice to anyone who is interested in learning more about FFA.

“I would say it’s a really great program and if you really want to know everything talk to your local ag teacher or students involved in FFA,” said Pell.
Away from school, Pell said her Aunt, who is an Air Force veteran, is a source of inspiration.
