Ringwood Red Devils Football Preview – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

RINGWOOD RED DEVILS

Coach: ERIC BRADLEY

4-7

OFFENSE

The Red Devils are coming off a season that saw them make it to the postseason. Head coach Eric Bradley knows that his team will be competitive this season and is looking to make the playoffs again this season. “We are going to be competitive as always,” he said. “We have several returning players combined with some incoming freshmen.” Leading the offense at quarterback will be Noah Schmidt (5-9, 130, Jr.). He is a hard worker and a leader on the team and looks to have a solid season for Ringwood this year. One of Schmidt’s targets on the outside will be Adam Anderson (6-0, 200, Jr.). Anchoring things on the offensive line will be Kizer Derr (6-0, 245, Jr.), who had put in a lot of work to become the athlete and leader he is. A player to keep an eye on this season will be Jayson Boehm. He is a talented and hard-working freshman that is looking to make an impact on the field.

DEFENSE

On the defensive side of the ball, Ringwood will work to be aggressive and attack the ball. Anderson will be at linebacker this season. He is a solid athlete and will have to be ready to defend the run or the pass, whatever the offense throws at him. In the secondary, Schmidt will be at safety ready to shut down the opponents’ big plays. Hayden Hutchins is a hard-working senior that will have a lot put on his shoulders this year. But as a leader of this team, coaches expect a solid season from him. A freshman that will look to contribute this season is Gavin Decker, who has worked hard and has a high football IQ.
