Beaver’s Ella Harrison – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Ella Harrison, a proud sophomore at Beaver High School, has grown up surrounded by the values of hard work, leadership, and community, values that shine through in her FFA journey. Inspired by her big sister, Avery, who recently earned her LPN, Ella has learned that dedication and integrity can take you far. Watching Avery push through late nights of studying and tough clinical rotations taught Ella that success comes to those who never back down from a challenge. “I hope that when I choose my career, I’ll have the same determination Avery has,” Ella often says.

Coming from a small school, Ella knows how meaningful it is to represent Beaver on a bigger stage. Recognition doesn’t come easily, but when it does, it means everything. For her, competing in FFA events isn’t just about winning; it’s about showing others that small‑town students can accomplish big things. Many of her classmates are just as hardworking but hesitate to step forward, something Ella hopes to change by setting an example.

Her love for FFA stems from her father, Beaver’s agricultural education teacher. From tagging along at livestock shows to helping in the barn, Ella can’t remember a time when she wasn’t involved in agriculture. Now, she competes in shooting sports, livestock judging, and speech contests, and she eagerly takes part in leadership activities. This year, she proudly serves as her chapter’s president, a rare honor for a sophomore.

Among all her FFA experiences, the state convention stands out as her favorite memory. The energy, the workshops, the expo shopping, and especially the concert, sharing all of it with her friends, made her feel truly at home in the FFA community. Ella also balances her busy schedule with track, where she’s motivated by the strong group of girls she trains with. Each meet reminds her of the same lesson she’s learned in FFA: success is built by lifting others up.

For Ella Harrison, FFA isn’t just an extracurricular; it’s a lifelong passion shaped by family, friendship, and a drive to always do her best.
