Woodward’s Connor Price – Presented by Moyer Electric

There are moments throughout an athlete’s career that have an impact on them and become something that they will remember for the rest of their lives. Connor Price plays basketball for Woodward High School and he has one moment that stands out above the rest.
“The highlight of my career happened during my sophomore year when my team played in the Jones Tournament,” he recalled. “It was more of the experience and lifelong memories that I made with my teammates rather than the actual games that I hold close to me.”

Connor is in his senior year and plays point guard on the Boomers’ basketball team. Outside of that, he is also a member of the National Honor Society and the Pep Club. He also helps with homecoming.

As a high school athlete, Price not only has to work to be ready to play basketball, but he also has to focus on his academics in order to be able to compete.

“It takes a lot of preparation and planning, as well as hard work, to balance my activities and school work,” he said.

There have been people in his life that have helped Connor become who he is today.

“My mom and dad are my two biggest role models in life,” he said. “In basketball, Chris Paul is one of my biggest influences, and my family, friends and teammates are who motivate me. A teacher that has had an impact on my life is Mrs. Lori Zimmerman. She helped me find myself as a student at a young age.”

When he wears the Woodward uniform to compete, Price knows that he is playing for more than just himself and his teammates.

“Representing my town and my school, both athletically and academically, is one of the most prideful honors I get to experience,” he said.
