VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?

Jocelyn: I am a senior at Hennessey High School, where I run cross country and track.

What is at the top of your bucket list?

To visit Glacier National Park before the glaciers there melt.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

I would want to have the ability to travel into books and experience the story firsthand.

What is your all-time favorite meal?

My dad’s steak with my mom’s roasted potatoes and zucchini on the side

What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Becoming an Oklahoma Cross Country Senior All-Star last season: all those years of hard work and dedication paid off!

Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

I cannot choose a favorite teacher because every teacher that I have had has shaped my life for the better! Thank you, Hennessey Teachers.

What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Jamie Torres (HHS class of ’23) has left the biggest impact on me because she, as a senior, was always so encouraging toward us underclassmen. Now, as a senior myself, I strive to do the same and inspire underclassmen to keep running.

Who inspires you?

President Teddy Roosevelt inspires me because he used mo pe and love for nature and the environment to make a big and lasting difference in people’s lives.

Here is a chance to give a shout-out or say thank you to anyone you wish.

I would like to thank Coach Cheyenne Baxter for supporting me these last eight years with my sports; I would not have been able to get this far without you!
