RYLEE THEDFORD…making the most of her senior year at EHS

By Jay Hoberecht

Rylee Thedford is an 18-year-old senior at Enid High School making the most of her senior year. Rylee is involved Student Council, National Honor Society, Softball, Choir, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). Rylee likes singing in Show Choir and Concert Choir.

FCA is special to Rylee. Emma Sullivan introduced Rylee to the school’s Huddle. She liked it and just kept going, becoming one of the leaders. Rylee spent two years on the leadership team helping with Special Events. Her senior year she is part of the Hospitality leaders. Rylee talked about events like Fields of Faith and See You at the Pole as fun activities that have brought her closer to her friends. The highlight of FCA was PASSION 2026 where she stepped outside her comfort zone and had a great time with her friends in FCA. She listens to the PASSION music daily. She has already signed up for PASSION 2027. Enid High School FCA sponsor Jennifer Sullivan talked about Rylee being “one of the most genuine and loyal student-athletes. Her faith has grown and it was beautiful to she her bring her younger brother, Baylor, to know Christ.” Her family attends Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church.

Rylee played fast-pitch softball at Enid High. She pitched and played the corners. Rylee remembers hitting her first homerun at a summer game in Perry. Rylee will be attending Cameron University on a softball scholarship in the fall. She plans to major in Sport Exercise Sciences and perhaps become a physical therapist.

I asked Rylee what advice she would give an eighth grader entering high school. She talked about how fast the time goes by. She also mentioned getting to know other people and how important friends are in high school.

Rylee seems poised to finish her senior year strong and get ready for her next adventure at Cameron University!
