VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?

Mia: I am a senior at Shattuck High School. I play fastpitch and slowpitch softball.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Mia: My favorite teacher is my biology teacher, LaDena Eads. Not only is she a great teacher, but she also gives amazing advice and is a great role model.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Mia: The teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Hailey Helfenbein. Thanks to her, I have learned to be more patient and become an even better teammate.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Mia: I am most inspired by my dad because he is always there to support me and cheer me on, no matter what.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Mia: I am most proud of making it to the state tournament five out of seven times (so far) in my softball career.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Mia: Softball has taught me how to pick people up when they are having a hard time. Softball is a very mental sport, so it is important to have your teammates’ backs.

VYPE: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Mia: I would want it to be teleportation. Being able to get from one place to another quickly is very convenient.

VYPE: What is your favorite dessert?

Mia: My favorite dessert has to be my mom’s chocolate chip cookies. I hope everyone gets to try one at some point.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Mia: My all-time favorite meal is spaghetti and meat sauce, but specifically my mom’s. She is the best cook I know.
