After finishing as the state runner-up last season, the Leedey Lady Bison are entering the 2025 fastpitch softball season with confidence, experience, and unfinished business. With a 32-12 record in 2024, head coach Eric Castle’s squad proved they belong among the state’s elite. Now, with seven returning starters and a core group of veteran leaders, they’re looking to take that next step.
“We graduated two key seniors, but the heart of our team is back,” Castle said. “The expectations are high, and we’re excited to take on the challenge of improving on last year’s finish.”
Leading the way is senior ace Blake Puffinbarger, who not only posted a 32-11 record in the circle but also swung a big bat, hitting .423 at the plate. Her dominance on both sides of the game makes her a key figure in Leedey’s championship push. Fellow senior Colbie Clem adds a powerful offensive punch, returning with a .450 batting average and a reputation as one of the team’s most consistent producers.

Junior Makinlee Carpenter (.390 avg) and senior Daycee Danielson (.360 avg) round out a talented and experienced lineup that can hurt opponents from top to bottom. With a balanced mix of power, speed, and leadership, the Lady Bison are focused on making another deep postseason run.
“Our girls know what it takes to compete at the highest level,” Castle said. “They’ve put in the work all offseason, and their mindset is right where it needs to be.”
As the season approaches, Leedey has its sights set firmly on one goal: finishing what they started last fall. With talent, leadership, and a hunger to bring home a title, the Lady Bison are a team no one should overlook in 2025.
