Chisholm Lady Longhorns Basketball – Presented by Security National Bank

The Lady Longhorns enter this season with new leadership and they are looking to rebound from last season. Tyler Hill is in his first season leading the program and he is looking forward to getting the season started. “We will look to be competitive with a great mix of upper and lower classmen,” Hill said. “We will be quick and athletic with an up tempo offense and a defense first mindset.” Emma Kate Kruska is a senior leader on this year’s squad. She is a multi-sport athlete that excels in each of her sports. But in basketball, she has great instincts and can finish around the rim.

Last season, she averaged 10 points and seven rebounds per game, and she looks to increase those numbers this season. Another player to keep an eye on is incoming freshman Callie Floyd. She has the potential to be a perimeter threat by stretching the floor with her three-point shot. Twins Melissa and Miranda Clark are both expected to play big roles on the team this season. Melissa is a sophomore and will be running the offense at point guard. Her ball handling skills combined with her leadership makes her the perfect court general and the potential to have a breakout season this year. Miranda’s lockdown defense will benefit Chisholm  against the opposing team’s best players. She is a tough player on the court, a hard worker, and will knock down shots as well.
