WAYNOKA RAILROADERS
Coach: PAYSON SLATER
9-4
OFFENSE
After a 9-4 season and a trip to the semifinals, the Waynoka Railroaders return to give it another run under first year head coach Payson Slater. “Several key returners from a state semifinal team last year. Very tough non-district having to play Covington-Douglas, Okeene, and Pond Creek-Hunter. C-1 is always a tough and competitive district as well,” said Slater. VYPE Top 100 selectee Landon Seiger (5-11, 200, Sr.) will start at fullback where his strength and power will help the Railroaders gain those tough yards inside. Daycen Cunningham (5-10, 165, Sr.) is poised to quarterback the team this season and is a dual threat to run and pass.
DEFENSE
Seiger will start at linebacker and is considered to be one of the top players in the class. Last season Seiger was named the District MVP. He brings a high football-IQ and is known to be a player who gives 100 percent on every play. The coaching staff at Waynoka includes Scott Cline, Trey Allen, and Beau Westfahl.
