Woodward’s Lauren Elliott

For Woodward High School senior Lauren Elliott, soccer is a lifestyle. It’s been a journey of growth, discipline, and perseverance. A versatile asset who excels at both midfield and forward, Lauren has become a dependable leader for the Lady Boomers through her determination, focus, and love for the game.
“I’m motivated by the idea of constantly improving, not only as a player but also as a person,” Lauren said. “I love proving to myself that I can push past limits and come back stronger each season.”
Her biggest influence is her mom, who has shown her what real strength and resilience look like.
“She’s always pushed me to believe in myself,” Lauren said. “Her work ethic inspires me every single day.”
Lauren also credits Mr. Greeff, her AP U.S. History teacher, for shaping her mindset beyond the classroom.
“He showed me how to make the best of every moment and brought humor into learning,” she said.
Her success stems from dedication and countless hours of practice when no one’s watching.
“It’s taken consistency, discipline, and teamwork,” she said. “Soccer has taught me how to bounce back after tough games and keep moving forward.”
Lauren’s favorite memory came during her freshman year when Woodward made school history by advancing to the state championship game.
“Even though we came up short, the support from our community meant everything,” she said.
She enjoys facing Weatherford, a team with several friends from club soccer, and loves competing in practice against Ava Miller, who challenges her daily.
Off the field, Lauren is active in NHS, FCA, Sub-Debs, and Pep Club, proudly representing Woodward High.

“It’s an honor to play for my school and community,” she said.
Her favorite player is Cristiano Ronaldo, her dream college is the University of Arkansas, and if she weren’t playing soccer, she’d be on the softball field with friends.
