Seiling’s Addie Fisher – Softball Spotlight – Presented by Newman Memorial Hospital

Addie Fisher, a senior at Seiling High School, is gearing up to make her mark in her final fastpitch softball season. A huge presence on the mound and second base, she brings leadership and confidence to the field. Her coach, Frank Howard, can’t wait to see what she does this season.

“Addie Fisher is a strong pitcher and hitter. She’s definitely someone people may overlook, but I expect her to have an outstanding senior year,” he shares.

Knowing what it takes to stand out, Addie was already pitching up to 100 pitches a day by the time she was nine years old.

“You can’t get better if you don’t put in the work,” she said.

That work ethic continues today, with teammate and pitcher Kyrsten Unwin pushing her to improve every day. Addie also credits her ability to stay disciplined to setting deadlines and prioritizing what’s most important, allowing her to balance both school and sports.

Outside of sports, Addie is active in FFA, where she serves as chapter secretary. She competes on the barbecue team, entomology judging, and shows cattle – experiences that have strengthened her leadership, attention to detail, and teamwork skills.

The ability to be involved in all these activities can be credited to her parents whom she recognizes as her biggest supporters. She also acknowledges the impact of one teacher, Mrs. House, who never gave up on her. Addie admits she was not the easiest student, but Mrs. House’s persistence made a lasting impression on her.

Ultimately, Addie hopes to give back to the community that has always supported her.

“I want to make everyone proud,” she says.

Her future goals include playing softball at the university level while also pursuing a career as a funeral director. Dreams that both reflect her love for the game and her passion to serve others.
