Rush plays the positions of running back, wide receiver, and defensive back for football. In baseball, Rush plays both left field and center field. While running track, Rush competes in the 4×1, 4×2, and 200m. Rush has played football for four years and has played basketball for two years. He has been playing baseball for one year, running track for three years, and has been a powerlifter for one year.

Rush is proud to represent his school and his community as a high school student athlete. Rush proclaimed, “I am so incredibly blessed to have grown up in Seiling. The town supports our team both on and off the field. The community’s investment in our programs really motivates me to succeed. It makes me want to do my best every single time I step on the field.”

As far as what has made him successful in sports, Rush stated, “The key to my success has been using the weight room.”

Very few student athletes have been blessed to experience having a parent as one of their teachers, but this is the case for Rush. Accordingly, he considers his mother as the teacher who has made the biggest impact on him. Rush explained, “The teacher with the biggest impact on me is, without a doubt, Mrs. Elliott, my mom. She has been there for me ever since day one. Rush also considers his mom his biggest influence. Rush attested, “My biggest influence is my mother. She pushes me to be the best person and player I can be.”

As a young man of faith, Rush holds tight to a particular Bible verse, Philippians 4:13, which states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

After graduating from Seiling High School, Rush plans on attending college and continuing to play sports. Rush stated, “Post-graduation, I plan on going to play college football. I am not sure what I will major in, just yet.”
