Q&A with Woodward’s Zoey Smith – Presented by Pioneer

VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?

Zoey: I am a freshman at Woodward High School. I play softball, basketball, soccer, and track.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Zoey: When I made Varsity as a freshman in softball and soccer.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Zoey: To push past the negative mentality and to build confidence in myself.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Zoey: Zoee Chavez has always been encouraging and uplifting since we played basketball together in seventh grade.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Zoey: Val Vera inspired me this year to be patient with anything that can happen.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Zoey: My 8th grade History teacher, Mr. Stevens, because he made learning fun and able to understand better.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Zoey: Birria tacos

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Zoey: The Bahamas, and I would take my two best friends Zoee Chavez and Jojo Pando.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Zoey: Don’t worry about anyone but you, and get better each day, and the rest will work itself out.
