SEILING WILDCATS

Coach: GARY MANUEL

12-2

OFFENSE

The Wildcats are hungry to get back on the field after last season’s tough loss in the Class B state championship. Head coach Gary Manuel is optimistic, noting the return of several key players who could help push the team toward another title run. “With a good portion of our offensive and defensive guys back, we should be pretty competitive if we can stay healthy,” Manuel said. At running back, senior Rush Hunt (5-11, 170) brings power and excellent field vision, always looking for the open lane. Senior quarterback Blake Chain (6-0, 170), a smart playmaker, will command the offense and knows when to get the ball out. On the outside, Chain has two dynamic wideouts: senior Jazin Baker (6-1, 180) and sophomore Stryker Worman (5-8, 165), both ready to stretch the field. Senior tight end Seth Whetstone (5-10, 180) offers reliable hands and toughness, especially when yardage is hard to come by. Leading the charge up front is senior lineman Jaycub Feuerborn (5-10, 240), who will anchor the offensive line and create lanes for the run game.

DEFENSE

The Wildcats’ defense was a force last season, holding opponents to just eleven points per game and recording seven shutouts. This year, they aim to keep that dominant reputation intact, focusing on keeping opponents out of the end zone. Up front, the defensive line will be led by junior Kason Smart (5-10, 200), along with Baker and Whetstone, all of whom excel at disrupting offensive schemes. At linebacker, Chain will be a key presence, ready to defend against both the run and the pass. In the secondary, Worman and Hunt will work to limit big plays and lock down opposing receivers.
