BOYS BASKETBALL
Connor Adair – Alva
Connor was thrust into the starting lineup last season due to a few injuries the team was facing. He has worked extremely hard in the offseason and he has the potential to be a big part of the team on both ends of the floor this season.
Alberto Alvarez and Gavin Guffy – Cherokee
Alberto is the team’s vocal leader. He does a little of everything. Nothing flashy, but knows and understands his role and makes his team better every practice, every game, and every day. Gavin is a hard worker and his effort and lead-by-example attributes have proven to be very beneficial for the team.
Langley Aman – Chisholm
A senior this season, Langley has started and played a ton of minutes since his freshman year. He plays with poise and runs the offense. He is like a coach on the court that is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team.
Javon Stocks – Enid
Stocks is a senior for the Plainsmen. He is a great kid and teammate that is always giving it his all when he is on the court.
Haddon Miller – Fairview
Haddon was Fairview’s sixth-man last year. He has a total game, he can handle the ball, is a deep threat from three, and can score inside.
Domingo Ramirez – Garber
Great kid. Extremely hard worker. Does all of the little things for the team.
Hunter Weber – Hennessey
Weber has put in a lot of work in the offseason and it should show on the court this season.
Cale Metcalf and Peyton Parker – Hooker
Cale is willing to do anything his team needs. He will play a role off the bench as a Senior and will help his team each time his number is called. Peyton is a guy that will do the dirty work on the defensive end of the court. Both look to have big seasons for Hooker.
Cash Laird – Kingfisher
Cash is a guy that has a high basketball IQ and is always ready to make the big play. Look for him to be a key component for Kingfisher’s success this season.
Tatum Nielson – Laverne
Nielson works hard and is always ready to do whatever he can to help his teammates.
Destry Swaim – Okeene
A great kid on and off the court, Swaim knows the game of basketball and always leaves it all on the floor.
Silas Hofen – Oklahoma Bible Academy
Silas is an exceptional young man with high potential on the court. He brings a defensive intensity that the team needs in a big way. Silas is a major offensive and athletic asset on the court as a driver and he has shown great potential as a shooter.
Rowdy Powers – Texhoma
Rowdy spends countless hours in the gym. He devotes his time and effort to continually improving his game and it shows when he is on the court.
Cole Reid – Woodward
Reid is a sophomore who is good with handling the ball and attacking the basket. He is quick and runs the floor well. He can cause a lot of good things to happen when on the court.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Kamryn Ott – Balko/Forgan
She is a natural leader and will play a huge role this season. She can score at all three levels and will be a hard match up for teams. Looking for her to have a breakout season.
Kynli Patterson – Cherokee
Kynli is a junior and she has the size and ability to be a huge impact on the team this year. She also has very good leadership skills.
Callie Floyd – Chisholm
Floyd is an incoming freshman with the potential of being a perimeter threat by stretching the floor with her three point shot.
Josi Hayes – Fairview
Josi is an extraordinarily good athlete with a great basketball IQ. She led her junior high team to an undefeated season last year and will play a major role on the high school team this year.
Kailyn Bond – Garber
Kailyn started as a freshman last year and had a good season. With the graduation of three seniors, she is looking to play a bigger role for the Lady Wolverines. Kailyn is a great rebounder and she has a knack for getting in the passing lanes for deflections and steals.
Emma Copeland – Hennessey
Emma ran the point and made her team hard to run the press against. She is also an extremely good three point shooter.
Rubi Hernandez – Hooker
Hernandez is a junior guard and a two-year starter for the Lady Bulldogs. Last season, she averaged seven points per game and was second on the team in steals per game with two. Defensively, she guards the other team’s best guard.
Abbie Myers – Kingfisher
Abbie averaged 9.4 points and 7.2 rebounds a game last year. She has improved her three point shot to where she now has the potential to score at all three levels.
Maddy Lockhart – Kremlin-Hillsdale
Lockhart is a very high IQ player, elite passer, and good scorer. She averaged eight points, five assists, and 3.2 steals a game last year. She looks to increase those numbers this season.
Gracin Drake – Laverne
In her junior season, Drake will be a key player for Laverne this year. She knows her role on the team and plays it well.
Kenna Kilian – Medford
Kenna is quick on the defensive end of the court. She is scrappy and is intimidating for her small stature.
Hailee Scarborough – Mooreland
Hailee is never satisfied with where she is. She is always working hard to get better so she can help her team be successful.
Julia Penner – Okeene
Julia has a lot of potential but due to injury hasn’t been able to reach it yet. She is looking to get on the court this season and show everyone what she is capable of.
Kami Jenkins – Oklahoma Bible Academy
The only non-Sr in the starting lineup this year, Kami started last year as a sophomore with four juniors. She really stepped up and became a three-point shooting threat when others drew the defense’s attention.
Hallie Jones – Pond Creek-Hunter
Hallie is as hard working as they come. Understands the time, effort, and dedication it takes to become a winner in sports and is not afraid to meet that head on. She is at the gym nearly every day before school shooting and stays after practice to shoot, condition, and lift.
Lyndlea Nichols – Seiling
Lyndlea played big minutes for Seiling as a freshman and sophomore and she should have a big year as a Junior. She is a super long athletic guard, standing at six-foot.
Sam Audrain – Texhoma
Sam is an upcoming shooter for the Lady Red Devils. She got some big varsity minutes late in the season last year shooting 39% from the field, averaging eight points per game.
Henzley Thomas – Timberlake
Henzley brings the excitement to the floor and is always ready to do whatever it takes to get the win.
Hope Smith – Vici
Smith should have a solid year. She is a great kid that works hard and is also a great teammate.
Jaidon Turney – Watonga
Jaidon is someone that is always going to give her best no matter what day it is or the situation. She is the glue to the defense, she is always communicating and is always in the right spot ready to help her teammates.
Lexi Mendell – Woodward
Lexi will be a returning starter. As a sophomore, she had a strong presence on the team. She is able to shoot the ball from the outside and slice her way to the rim.
