BILLINGS BULLDOGS
Coach: ETHAN SMITH
4-3
OFFENSE
Football is back at Billings High School. After years of not fielding a team, the Bulldogs played a make-shift schedule last season, playing whoever had an open week. This season, they are back in Class C and will compete in district play. Head coach Ethan Smith is looking forward to his team fighting for a spot in the postseason. “This will be our first year back playing in an actual district in nearly 20 years,” he said. “We got to play an independent season this past year and are looking forward to competing for a playoff spot.” Leading the offense at quarterback will be Brody Smith (6-2, 195, Jr.). He led the team in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and rushing touchdowns last season. He works hard and is focused on being his best. He looks to have a solid year. One of the skill players to watch will be Easton Watson (6-1, 200, Sr.) who will see time at running back and tight end. Dustin Botherton will be at center and is an outstanding leader on the team.
DEFENSE
On defense, the Bulldogs will look to be aggressive and slow down the opposing offense. Leading the defense will be a pair of linebackers, Jonah Brotherton (6-1, 165, Jr.) and Val Martin (6-1, 160, Sr.). They are both outstanding athletes that will be focused on being impact players on the defense. Dayton Clover is a rising player for the Bulldogs, who has shown versatility at multiple positions on both sides of the ball. He is looking to continue to improve and have a big season. Assistant coaches for the Bulldogs this season are Kevin West, Kyler Smith, Dustin Smelzer, and Eric Smith.
