Q&A with Kingfisher’s Jose Santoyo – Presented by Integris

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Jose: I am a senior at Kingfisher High School. I play football and I wrestle.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Jose: Coach Wilson has been my favorite teacher. He’s one of the most caring people I know and has been a father figure in my life.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Jose: Mason Alig has made the biggest impression in wrestling. He has been helping me and pushing me to be the best I can since I started.                                   

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Jose: I look up to Muhammad Ali because he was amazing at what he did and was a great athlete. Even with all his fame he was still a humble and kind person.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Jose: My biggest inspiration would be my friends and family who support me and push me to be better.          

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Jose: My favorite part is being able to show other schools that we are here and we are ready to compete.    

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Jose: The best advice I have received has been to keep going no matter what tries to hold you down.         

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Jose: My favorite meal would be a traditional Mexican soup pozole.       

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?Jose: I would go to Romania and I would take my brothers.
