Q&A with Enid’s Haley Hibbets – Presented by Rib Crib

VYPE: What grade are you in, and what sports do you play?

Haley: I am a senior at Enid High School, and I am on the tennis team.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Haley: Alexa Garcia has left the biggest impression on me. She is two years older than me and someone I always aspired to be like.  She is a fierce competitor, but also always kind and respectful. She and I were very competitive and constantly pushed each other to be better.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Haley: Tennis has taught me to be more independent and to speak up for myself.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Haley: Since tennis is usually an Individual sport, I love having a team by my side. They are some of my best friends, and we always cheer for each other.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Haley: I look up to Aryna Sabalenka. She is a professional tennis player from Belarus. I look up to her because her style of play is very similar to the way that I try to play, and she is an incredible athlete.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Haley: Vladi Babic inspires me the most. She is my Coach who played tennis at OSU. She was an All-American and is a great tennis player. She pushes me to be my best and is someone I look up to.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Haley: Yes, I am involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, and Platinum E.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Haley: I would like to thank my parents for dedicating so much of their time and resources to let me play the sport I love.
