KREMLIN-HILLSDALE BRONCS
Coach: JAMES WORLEY
0-10
OFFENSE
Last season was tough for the Broncs, ending with an 0-10 record. But as a new season with a clean slate approaches, head coach James Worley has a positive outlook for his team this season. “Our team for 2024 in one word has heart,” Worley said. “They are committed to the journey to build. Though we have low numbers we do have experience and look to use that to become better every day.” Back for his second season leading the offense will be quarterback Tyler Smith (5-11, 150, So.). He is a solid athlete and looks to continue to grow at the position. One of his key targets will be Devlynn Cartmell (6-6, 250, Sr.), who is a strong and physical athlete at tight end. Two other key players for the offense will be Chase Pirtle (5-10, 185, Jr.) at running back and McQuinn Baker (5-7, 150, Jr.) at wide receiver.
DEFENSE
The Bronc defense will look to turn things around this season after giving up an average of 51 points per game last season. Looking to play a part in that turnaround will be defensive ends Davin Nakvinda (5-10, 165, Jr.) and Cartmell. They are going to try to disrupt the plans of the offense and keep them out of the endzone. Pirtle will have his head on a swivel at linebacker. He will be prepared for the run but also ready to defend the pass if necessary. Taking care of things in the secondary will be defensive back Baker. He will work to keep the opponent’s big plays to a minimum. Assistant coach this season is Matt McMullen.
