Kingfisher Baseball – Presented by Boeckman Ford

The Kingfisher Yellowjacket baseball team is looking to build off of last season and have an improved season. Head coach Stan Blundell says that while his squad is young, he looks to see a lot of growth by the end of the season.

“We are a young team that is looking to gain a lot of experience,” the coach said. “I think our biggest challenge will be our youth and inexperience. Eighteen of our twenty-three players are either freshmen or sophomores.”

Last season, saw the Yellowjackets lose to Tuttle in the Regional finals. They lost several seniors to graduation and they will need guys to step up and fill those shoes.

The brings back two outstanding pitchers in sophomores Cooper Henley and Trypp Lack. They both saw significant time as freshman and they will have a big impact on the team this season. Kaden Cline is solid at the plate and will look to help get the offense going for the Yellowjackets.

Other players that will look to contribute and make an impact on the season will be Evan Duey, Christian Farrell, Abe Prieto, Sloan Merrill, Brody Boeckman, Chace Cooper, Brett Calamateo, Kody Penwright, Brody Davis, Carter Stephenson, Briar Kester, Maddux Gomez, Brandon Dalton, Hunter Miller, Cooper Davis, Jagger Braun, Oliver Moyeda, Yasel Arreguin Perez, Joey Davila Flores, Jack Barnett, and Carson Swafford

Team managers will be Aubrey Osterholt, Vanessa Gomez, Taygen Otey, Emily Warren, Emilie Moyeda, Emma McLean, Sydnie Toepfer, Alexis Langford, Nayleigh Schelm, Lexi Moyeda, Melissa De La Torre, Shelby Willson, and Eli Pickle.
