At Enid High School, senior Alexandrea Crissup is the kind of basketball player who can change a game from anywhere on the floor. She’s comfortable playing any position, but what truly sets her apart is the way she plays for something bigger than herself, her family, her teammates, and her community.
“My family and teammates motivate me the best,” she said.
That motivation starts with her mom, who has been there for every step of Alexandrea’s basketball journey.
“My biggest influence is my mom,” Alexandrea explained. “She does everything she can for me and this sport and makes sure I am always happy. She’s traveled hours and hours for me to play, come to every tournament and game, and even missed work and family events so I could play all over Oklahoma and in other states.”
Another constant voice in her corner is her coach, Jashawn Talton.
“Coach Talton always believes in me and keeps me hype on the court,” she said. “He trains me to be the best I can be and has turned me into the player I am today. He makes the sport fun.”
In practice, Alexandrea is at her best when she’s matched up with teammate Amarianna.

“I like working against Amarianna in practice,” she said. “She makes me work and pushes me to be better every day. She’s extremely fast and a very good ball handler, so she helps me make sure I stay on my toes on defense.”
Alexandrea’s commitment stretches beyond the high school season. She plays AAU basketball with BTM Elite and Lady Legacy, competing against top talent and constantly expanding her game.
“It means a lot to me to represent my community,” she said. “I love playing for Enid and the support they keep behind our basketball program.”
She also treasures the players who have shaped her along the way.
“Another player I loved playing with and against is Emma Copeland,” Alexandrea added. “She’s an extremely great basketball player, and I absolutely loved getting to play with her for AAU. She helped me improve a lot and pushed me to become a better player.”
