The Plainsmen come into this season with tempered expectations. After losing in regionals last year, head coach Russ Gilmore is looking for growth and progress from the team, but he also knows that the guys will have to step up. “We are a young team with very little experience,” Gilmore said. “We will be able to go about nine deep in which most of them are about the same size with equal amounts of athletic ability. Not much size but kids who will play hard and compete. Wendell Brown (6-1, Jr.) is looking to have a big season for Enid. He has worked hard in the offseason and should be an impact player. Two other guys that will play big roles are Tyce Fulton (6-1, So.) and Julian Jenkins (6-4, Jr.). They will look to play strong on both ends of the court. Julius Mitchell (6-2, Jr.) and Javon Stocks (6-1, Sr.) are great kids and teammates that are always ready to work hard and do whatever they can to help their team. Other players looking to make plays this season are Isaiah Thompson (6-5, So.)
Zyler Tipton (6-0, So.), Torvontae Washington (6-0, Sr.), Jarvis Williamson (6-0, So.), Zyrie Allen (6-1, Sr.), Tagen Win (6-1, Jr.), Teshon Medlock (5-10, Fr.), and Cashton Mathis (6-4, Fr.).
