The Enid cheer team is a competitive squad full of big hearts and even bigger energy. This dedicated group shows up each day ready to grow and improve. They exemplify how to face challenges, embrace change, and rise to high expectations with maturity and pride. This season, their goal is to continue elevating the standard of Enid Cheer: perfecting routines, strengthening skills, and stepping onto the mat with greater confidence than ever before.
Coach Carrie leads the Enid High School cheer program with pride, having once worn the same uniform as a former Enid cheerleader herself. Building this program has been a full circle opportunity for her.
“I love developing athletes who are strong in skills, confident in leadership, and proud to represent Enid,” Carrie shares.
As a team, they are determined, hardworking, and loud in the best way. Each member brings a competitive spirit while supporting one another and creating lasting memories together. Often described as a lightning bolt, this team radiates energy, power, and a presence that’s impossible to ignore.
“Cheerleading has been one of the best experiences of my high school career. I’m cherishing every last moment with these girls and this team,” shares senior Alivia Stanley.
Before taking the mat, the team gives each other pep talks and takes a moment to breathe, focus, and take it all in, grounding themselves as one. Their Showcase Night and their first competition of the season are memories they’ll cherish forever.
“Watching the girls perform, seeing their families cheer for them, and watching their confidence grow has been such a great moment as a coach,” Carrie says.
Even when times get tough, the team supports one another and refocuses on their ultimate goal – to persevere. They’ve faced change, challenges, and high expectations with maturity, setting an excellent example for the young cheer leaders that look up to them. They show patience and kindness towards the future of Enid cheer, fostering a program that truly feels like a family.
“We have a super positive team environment! Everyone works so hard for each other,” shares senior Zoë Robinson.
“We keep showing up—even when it’s hard. Especially when it’s hard,” adds senior Macee Ylitalo.
Representing Enid means setting a positive example and building up the next generation of cheerleaders. For Enid cheer, demonstrating strong character, leadership, and sportsmanship is at the heart of what they do. Their goal is to leave things better than they found them, continue working hard, push toward their best performances, and build a team culture they’re proud of.
