Chisholm’s Logan Snider
A varsity basketball player and member of the FFA chapter at Chisholm High School, Logan Snider said she loves being part of the team and has enjoyed her sophomore season on the court.
“I love the camaraderie we have as a team. We may not have a winning record, but we work together as a team and continue to support one another,” Snider said.
Snider plays guard and said the position offers some real challenges.
“I play guard on the basketball court, and the most difficult thing about my position is reading the defense so I can make the best possible decisions offensively,” Snider said.
As a member of the FFA chapter, Snider said she is involved in Auctioneering, Animal Science Quiz bowl, Vet Science, and Public Speaking. FFA has been a big part of her life since joining the chapter.
“I love the friendships I’ve built and the personal growth I have achieved through FFA. Be it leadership conferences, auction or speech competitions, FFA has provided a foundation personally and professionally I will carry with me forever. I am thankful for the great friendships I have made from across the state,” said Snider. “I am fortunate to have many people in my life that inspire me but today I am choosing Justin Kennedy. He is the driving force behind the FFA Auctioneer CDE that has been truly life changing for me. I am appreciative of what he has done and continues to do for me and so many others across the state.”
Athletics and FFA have taught Snider lessons she will carry with her throughout her life.
“An important lesson that I’ve learned from my athletic and FFA experiences is perseverance. I’ve learned that success isn’t always measured in wins and losses, but in your ability to take each experience as a learning opportunity. If you’re able to find something to improve upon, whether that’s on the court or on the FFA stage then that’s a win,” Snider said.
