Chisholm’s Kinsley Randolph – FFA Spotlight – Presented by Oklahoma AgCredit

When Kinsley Randolph was in the eighth grade, she joined her local FFA chapter after spending time in the local 4-H Club. Thanks to a few friends who were involved in FFA, Randolph made the decision to join.
“I had some friends that were in FFA, and they showed, and they also talked about how fun it was. I also had some cousins that showed as well. So, when I was younger, I would go to some of their shows and watch them show their lambs,” said Randolph.

Also, a player for the varsity fastpitch softball team, Randolph said showing livestock is what she enjoys most.
“Just going through the process of getting your lamb show-ready, like halter breaking it, working its leg hair, making sure it is properly taken care of, and getting it to brace. Then the fun part is when you get to go in the ring and you really get to see all of your hard work pay off,” said Randolph.

Aside from showing lambs, Randolph participates in livestock judging and is on the senior opening and closing ceremonies team. Randolph said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.
“My advice to anyone that is considering joining FFA would be just to do it. There is something in FFA for everybody and you will have a lot of fun doing it and you will regret not joining,”

Randolph is a member of National Honor Society at school and loves being part of the softball team.
“I love all of the lifelong friendships that you make throughout the years of playing softball. I started playing softball when I was five years old,” Randolph said. “I love the way that they [teammates] are always there to support you through anything that you are dealing with that day or even just when you make an error on the field.”

Randolph said her mother inspires her both on and off the field.
“She played softball when she was growing up and she made All-State in it and that really inspired me to become better at softball to try and make All-State as well. Away from school she is somebody that I really look up to and really inspires me to be the best that I can be. She also inspires me in life to go and take the risk because you never know where that risk will lead you to.”

After graduation in 2027, Randolph plans to attend NOC Enid for her associates degree before attending Oklahoma State University for her bachelors.
