Jade Davis, a standout junior at Chisholm High School, continues to make a name for herself both on and off the softball field. A dynamic athlete, Jade brings versatility and leadership to the Longhorns, excelling at both shortstop and centerfield positions that demand range, athleticism, and a high softball IQ.
Jade’s passion for the game is driven by her desire for constant improvement. “Every practice or game is a chance to get better, stronger, and smarter,” she said. That mindset has helped her grow into one of the team’s most dependable and driven players. She credits much of her development to hard work outside of practice, consistently putting in extra reps to sharpen her skills.
A key influence on Jade’s journey has been Coach Burns, who she says “understands me in the classroom and on the field.” Her teammates also play a huge role in her motivation. Whether it’s going head-to-head in practice with Audrina Palmer or learning from the grind of underappreciated positions like right field, Jade values the team culture that pushes her to improve daily.
This year’s highlight moment for Jade came when she joined the Enid Bruin 18U travel team. Playing at a higher level and attending showcase events—like the Tulsa Elite Wilson Invite—has given her a taste of what the next level of competition feels like, fueling her goal of playing college softball.
Balancing her busy schedule with academics, Jade remains grounded. “Education comes first,” she says, and she prioritizes getting schoolwork done in class to manage her time effectively.
Representing Chisholm is a responsibility Jade takes seriously. “I take great pride in playing for the Longhorns and my community,” she says with confidence. As she continues to grow as an athlete and leader, Jade Davis is a name to watch—someone who is not only chasing greatness but inspiring others along the way.
