There is someone in each of our lives that has an impact on us and helps us grow as a person. This could be a celebrity or someone that is part of our everyday lives. Canton’s Joshua Postelwait has a few people that have been important parts of his life and he says that he is thankful for them.
“The biggest role models in my life are my dad and my grandma,” he said. “They have helped me throughout my life. Another would be Mathew Shieffer. He has taught me a lot of things and what I need to do to be a better football player and person.”
Joshua is a junior at Canton High School, where he is a multi-sport athlete. He plays right guard and defensive tackle on the football field, and he also is a member of the powerlifting, track, and Esports teams. And he is part of the Ag program at Canton.
He has invested a lot in order to become a better player and he is looking to continue to improve his game.
“It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication to be the player I am,” he said. “I want to be a great football player and that is what keeps me motivated.”
Throughout his career, Joshua has made a lot of memories while competing. And out of all of them, he has one that stands out as his favorite.
“My highlight moment would have to be when I got my first tackle playing high school football as a freshman,” he recalled.
When he is not competing or practicing, Joshua likes to check his social media. And he has one person that he likes to follow the most.
“Kamari Copeland is my favorite follow,” he said. “He is a very hyped football player. He is really good at what he does and he inspires me to be great.”
