Q&A with Alva’s Haleigh Richardson – Presented by Integris

VYPE: What grade are you and what sports do you play?

Haleigh: I am currently a sophomore and I play softball.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Haleigh: A memory that I will always remember is when the team won regionals. It’s such an amazing feeling and all the girls are so locked in it’s incredible.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Haleigh: Actually there hasn’t been any of my teammates that have left a big impression on me. I would say the coaches I have had left the biggest impression on me. They are always there and great people to look up to.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Haleigh: I have recently looked up to Rylie Boone. She is just a great player all around she just seems like a great person.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Haleigh: No one has really inspired me. I’ve always just tried to inspire others and be one who others look up to and just be myself.

VYPE: What is the best advice anyone has given you?

Haleigh: “Don’t try to be someone else, be yourself”

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Haleigh: I would say my favorite teacher was Halah Simon, my freshman year English teacher.

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Haleigh: I’m involved in student council, Spanish club, and key club.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish?

Haleigh: I just want to give a big thank you to my parents Rachael and Chad Richardson for always being there when I need them most and helping me become a better person!
