Fairview’s Embassy White – Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Centerfielder and second baseman for the Fairview varsity softball team, Embassy White not only plays softball, basketball, and powerlifting for the FHS, she’s also a member of the FFA chapter.

“I have been involved in FFA my entire life. Growing up in the cattle barn watching my older sisters working hard and paving the way for me into the agricultural world,” White said. “My family is the main reason I am involved in FFA. I was raised learning about the agricultural world and all the benefits there are being involved in FFA.”

For White, the relationships are what makes FFA a special group to be part of.

“I enjoy the relationships I grow within the FFA the most. I have learned a lot about public speaking, how to treat other people, and how to work hard being involved with the FFA. I couldn’t imagine a life without all the people I have met through this wonderful program,” said White.

White is on the show team, is involved with the opening and closing ceremonies, green hand, and she is planning to do speeches in the spring. White raises and sells show lambs while being a member of the student council and FCA. White said anyone interested in FFA should give it a try.

“Just jump right in. There is a place for almost everyone in FFA. Don’t be afraid to talk to people, because those people might end up being your best friends.”

Only a freshman, White said her teammates and coaches inspire her as a student-athlete. “I love the fun energy of my teammates, the wise words of my coaches, and the true fans I call my sisters. I don’t know what I would do without them,” said White.
