Fairview’s Abbi Bryant – Student Spotlight – Presented by Northwest Technology Center

For Fairview High School senior Abbi Bryant, attending Northwest Technology Center in Fairview has been a meaningful step toward her dream career in healthcare. As a 12th grader enrolled in the Health Careers program, Abbi says her experience at Tech has provided her with the skills and confidence she’ll need in the medical field.

“I first heard about Tech back in eighth grade and again during the tours my sophomore year,” Abbi said. “What made me really interested was the health program they offered. I knew I wanted to do something in the healthcare field and be able to help people.”

That early interest has turned into a passion. Through the program, Abbi has gained valuable hands-on experience and even earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification,  an accomplishment that helps her stand out as she prepares for college and beyond.

“Tech has helped me learn how to communicate better and understand what it’s like to work in healthcare,” she said. “It’s great because you get to practice real skills you’ll actually use in the job.”

Outside of class, Abbi is involved in HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), an organization that supports and inspires students interested in health professions.

Abbi credits her grandmother as one of her biggest role models.

“She’s someone I really look up to,” Abbi shared. “She’s taught me the importance of working hard and caring for others.”

After graduation, Abbi plans to attend Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) to complete her prerequisites before continuing at Moore Norman Technology Center to earn her license in sonography.

“My time at Northwest Tech has definitely prepared me for my future,” Abbi said. “I’d tell anyone thinking about enrolling that it’s a great option,  you learn so much and get real experience doing what you love.”
