As a senior at Enid High School, Zoe Robinson’s days are packed with practices, games, and community involvement, but she wouldn’t have it any other way. A triple-threat athlete who competes in fastpitch and slow-pitch softball as well as cheer, Zoe thrives on teamwork, energy, and the friendships she’s built through sports.
“My teammates and friends motivate me,” Zoe says. “We are always motivating each other to be the best version of ourselves.”
Zoe credits her family for shaping her into the person she is today.
“Some of my biggest influences and role models are my parents and my grandmother,” she says. “They inspire me to strive to be successful in all endeavors of life.”
Throughout high school, she’s been surrounded by supportive teachers who have uplifted and challenged her. “I don’t think I could pick one teacher!” she admits with a smile. “I’ve had so many wonderful teachers who have all impacted my life in so many positive ways.”
When it comes to athletic success, Zoe keeps her approach simple but meaningful. “Being a good teammate and reminding myself to always have fun has helped me be successful in athletics,” she says. That mindset has carried her through some of her proudest moments at Enid High, especially this past fall.
“A highlight moment of my athletic career was qualifying and competing at the OSSAA Gameday State Competition,” she says. “We were the first-ever Enid team to qualify in the Gameday division, which was super exciting. Then being there competing and seeing your best friends and the Enid community cheering us on was awesome!”
Though Zoe enjoys any win, one stands out a bit more. “Winning is always fun,” she says, “but beating Edmond Memorial in districts this past fall was a whole lot more fun!”
In addition to athletics, Zoe serves in Principal Advisory, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, and the EHS Work Study Program, where she interns with third graders at Taft Elementary. Balancing it all takes careful planning. “I try to manage my time well and always communicate with my teachers and coaches,” she says.
As she looks to the future, Zoe beams with pride. “It means so much to represent Enid and the Enid community when playing,” she says. “Being a cheerleader, I also try to inspire young girls who look up to us.”
This fall, Zoe will continue that passion for teamwork and school spirit as she joins the cheer team at Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
