ALVA LADYBUGS

Coach: JEREMY JONES

2024-25 Record: 24-4

The Alva LadyBugs return three starters to the court after graduating a few seniors.

“We will be deeper than last year and hopefully be right there at the end,” said head coach Jeremy Jones.

Senior point guard Kylie Adair is looking to go out on a high note for her last high school basketball season, after having state tournament appearances all three years and averaging 10 points per game last year.

“Kylie Adair is a lock down defender and runs the point guard because of her high IQ,” said coach Jones. “She’s committed to NWOSU and will have a big year for the LadyBugs. Great kid on and off the court.”

Another senior who will have a big impact is Asia Blackledge, who is a great team player and leader on and off the court.

“Hardest worker in the gym, 4.0 student, and a great kid,” said coach Jones. “She has offers to play college in basketball and softball. She does all the little stuff on the floor – rebounds, dives on floor, plays defense. Always takes time to talk to the younger kids and spend time with them. Always helping others.”

At center, 6’1 senior Hadlee Ohm returns after averaging nine points and seven rebound per game last season. Juniors Kaylen Woods, Preslie Jones, and Mylie Nettles will contribute to team success as well.
