Seniors Cayden Little Coyote and Kaylee Feuerborn have been soaking up their final season of cheer at Seiling High School. Both have been involved in cheerleading since childhood, Cayden began in sixth grade, while Kaylee started as early as pre-K, but officially joined the high school squad this season. Now, as a duo, they’re ready to come together and make their senior year the best one yet.

Kaylee and Cayden both draw inspiration from their family, friends, and community.

“What motivates me is seeing everybody cheering me on,” Kaylee shared.

Her biggest inspiration is her older sister, who was a former cheerleader. Kaylee always looked up to her and is proud to now be following in her footsteps.

For Cayden, motivation comes from her family, mom, and teammates, both current and former.

“Even though all my former teammates are in college pursuing an education, I still look up to them,” she explained.

Cayden also finds joy in setting an example for her siblings and making her mom proud. Both girls showing immense gratitude to those around them for supporting and shaping who they are today.

For Kaylee and Cayden, cheer in high school is more than just a sport, it’s a path to build lasting friendships. Cayden is entering her fourth season of cheer and describes her teammates as sisters, especially her best friend, Kara, who has helped her every step of the way throughout high school.

Kaylee, just beginning her first year on the squad is looking forward to creating strong bonds and becoming a better leader. For both seniors, it’s not solely about the routines, it’s about the friends, teammates, and coaches that make it worth it.

The seniors are proud to represent their community and serve as role models for young cheerleaders aspiring to fill their shoes, encouraging the younger generation to know the value of your voice.

Kaylee shared, “Be yourself and do your best. If you’re doing that, it doesn’t matter what others think.”

Cayden adds, “Be loud and be confident.”

For the seniors, representing their community, means showing pride, spirit, and good sportsmanship.

Looking ahead, both seniors have clear goals. Cayden plans to attend a university with a pre-med program, while Kaylee also plans to attend college, choosing to not declare a major right away, allowing time on campus to guide her. Although both girls do not plan cheering beyond high school, they do look forward to closing out this cheer season with unfailing spirit.
