Brody Mills…A Leader At Enid High School – Presented by Slater Mechanical

By Jay Hoberecht

Brody Mills is a 17-year-old senior at Enid High School.  Brody is a good student and plays football and basketball for the Plainsmen.  He plays catcher and first base for Plainsmen head baseball coach Brad Gore.  He plays tight end and defensive end for the new Plainsmen head football coach, Brad Cornelson.  He is also involved with the Principal’s Advisory Committee, helping with school activities.

I talked with Coach Gore about Broday, and he talked about what a good person he was and that he was a team guy.  He shared that Brody started a football Bible Study this summer.  More about that later!  Look for the Plainsmen to be good again next season.

Coach Cornelson had similar things to share, talking about Brody.  He talked about his leadership and his ability to get down to business at the right times in practice.  Look for the Plainsmen football program to get better as the season goes along under a new head coach.

Brody wants to go to college but is undecided on a major.  No problem, that decision will come in time.

Brody has grown up going to church, North Garland Church of Christ, with his family.  He is active in the youth group and will be going to church camp in July.

Broady is also involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at his school.  He has been a part of the Leadership Team for three years, helping to get speakers for Huddle Meetings.  His involvement in FCA led him to begin a Bible Study for the football team this summer.  After Summer Pride, the group goes to Brody’s home for some food and bible study.  The group is small but will grow.  EHS FCA sponsor, Denom Sullivan,

Brody Mills is making a difference at Enid High School in his senior year!
