2025 Timberlake Tigers Football Preview – Presented by Northwest Technology Center

TIMBERLAKE TIGERS

Coach: BRIAN SEVERIN

13-1

OFFENSE
Last season, the Tigers came up just eight points shy of capturing the Class C State Championship. As they enter a new campaign, head coach Brian Severin knows his team will need to fill a few key roles but believes they have the tools to make another title run. “We’ll need to find some offensive linemen,” Severin said, “but our skill positions are loaded with talented, athletic upperclassmen.” The Tigers’ offense was explosive last year, averaging an impressive 45 points per game, and they’ll aim to keep lighting up the scoreboard. Senior quarterback Payton Pierce (6-2, 170) returns after a 2,000-yard passing season, ready to lead the charge once again. Joining him in the backfield is senior running back Mavric Judd (6-0, 200), a dynamic threat who piled up 1,000 rushing yards last season and remains dangerous every time he touches the ball. Fellow senior Alex Brewer (5-8, 150) will look to increase his impact at running back this year. On the outside, sophomore split end Bodey Thomas (5-10, 170) and senior tight end Paxton Glenn (6-6, 180) — who combined for 1,100 receiving yards last season — are poised to be key playmakers once again. Up front, senior center Cashius Korbel (5-11, 200) will anchor the offensive line, providing critical leadership and stability in the trenches.

DEFENSE
On defense, the Tigers will focus on getting the ball back into the hands of their high-powered offense while keeping opponents out of the end zone. Leading the charge in the secondary are safety Mavric Judd and cornerbacks Alex Brewer and Bodey Thomas — a trio of quick, athletic defenders with a knack for getting to the ball. Up front, junior defensive end William Crain (6-3, 210) and senior nose guard Cashius Korbel (5-11, 200) will look to disrupt opposing offenses and create chaos at the line of scrimmage. Together, this unit aims to set the tone and keep the Tigers in position for another championship push.
