The Fairview Lady Yellowjackets fastpitch softball team enters the 2025 season with confidence and determination, aiming to build on the progress they made a year ago and take another step forward in postseason play. With veteran head coach Ryan Nightingale at the helm for his 21st season, the program is backed by years of experience and a clear vision for success.
“We should be similar to last season,” Nightingale said. “We ended with a 13-18 record,”—a campaign that showed promise and laid the groundwork for the team’s continued growth.
One of the key returners for the Lady Yellowjackets is standout pitcher Jaycee Young. A tireless worker and fierce competitor, Young brings leadership and consistency to the circle. Her presence on the mound and ability to stay composed under pressure will once again be a major asset for Fairview this season.

Another player to watch is sophomore sensation Josi Hayes. A talented three-sport athlete, Hayes will anchor the infield at shortstop and bring a potent bat to the lineup. As just a freshman last year, she led the team in batting average—an impressive feat that highlights both her natural ability and competitive drive. Her continued development will be vital to Fairview’s offensive production.
Also expected to make an impact is Embassy White, a player ready to step into a larger role and help spark the Lady Yellowjackets on both sides of the ball. With a blend of experience, youthful energy, and a strong work ethic throughout the roster, Fairview is poised for a competitive and exciting season.
With Coach Nightingale’s steady leadership and a team hungry to improve, the Lady Yellowjackets have their eyes set on a deeper playoff run.
