Woodward’s Aubry Partido – Presented by Stock Exchange Bank

Aubry Partido says that sports have taught her how to stay consistent, never give up, and always work your hardest. With this athlete, the proof is in the pudding. She won Most Improved runner last year, proving her dedication and determination aren’t just words. She went from running a 14 minute mile in the beginning of her athletic career, down to a seven or eight minute mile currently.

Aubry is a junior at Woodward High School. She participates in cross country, track, and service careers at her local votech. Her favorite subject in school is art, because it is where she is able to express herself. Her favorite teacher is Mrs. Hallinger, because “I am autistic and she is my Special Education teacher. She helped me so much and was always there for me,” she says. As for plans for her future, Aubry is undecided, but she would like to run at the collegiate level.

Her favorite sports memory so far, was going to state in cross country and being a part of the varsity team. She’s been running for only three years and has already made great improvements. Her advice to her fellow athletes is “stay consistent and disciplined, even on days that you aren’t motivated.” Aubry’s biggest positive impact and role model is her dad, who also is an avid runner. She got started running by watching him run. Her favorite part about cross country and track is crossing the finish line and building friendships with her teammates.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family, cosplaying her favorite characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, and making TikToks that are either fun or inspiring. When times are tough, Aubry looks for support from her family, her coach, and her teammates to keep going, because they all encourage her to go the extra mile, even when she thinks she can’t take another step.
