Medford Football Coach Blake Lamle – Presented by Shuterra Sports Field Management

Blake Lamle is in his sixth year coaching at Medford High School, where he keeps a busy schedule all year round. He is the head football coach as well as an assistant coach for basketball and baseball.

Over the years, a few other coaches have been impactful in Lamle’s career, such as Andy Claborn, and Troy and Tyson Bullard. He also proports as a “huge Bob Stoops fan.”

“Andy Claborn let me be a volunteer coach at Cherokee 26 years ago while I was in college,” he said. “I’ve loved it ever since.”

Looking back on some highlights in his coaching career so far, a few come from his time at Shattuck High School.

“Wining the state championship as an assistant at Shattuck in 2015, and then state runner up in 2016 as head coach at Shattuck, and then winning the state championship in 2017 as the head coach at Shattuck. Being assistant coach of the year in 2016 and then coach of the year in 2017 and 2018.”

Lamle says that the aspect he enjoys most about his career is simply “being around the kids and the energy that comes with coaching.”

Good luck to the Medford Cardinals this season!
