Buffalo Bison Football Preview

BUFFALO BISON

Coach: DUSTY YAUK

5-6

OFFENSE

Buffalo enters the new season with a few less players than a year ago, but that is not curbing the excitement for coach Dusty Yauk or Bison fans. “Pretty excited about the upcoming season. We will be short on numbers, but we will have some exciting players returning,” said Yauk. One of those exciting players making his return is running back Emilio Ceniceros (6-2, 230, Sr.). The senior is a big, punishing runner who can punch it into the endzone or lay a big block for quarterback Eloy Estrada (5-10, 155, So.). The Bison offense will use multiple formations utilizing the run to set up the play action passing game. The offensive line features Hadley Hickman (5-9, 215, Sr.), and Braxton Olmstead (5-9, 195, Sr.).

DEFENSE

Both Hickman and Olmstead will play significant roles on defense at linebacker. Their ability to fly around and get to the football makes them a tough duo to contend with. Buffalo likes to run a 3-1 and a 3-2 depending on the situation. Using Hickman and Olmstead to disrupt the opposing offense and force them into bad decisions is the plan. Ceniceros is a natural defensive end and will attack from the outside. His ability to play in the backfield and force QBs to run is what makes him dangerous. Look for Ceniceros to have a big season off the edge.
