ENID PLAINSMEN

Coach: CAMERON CONDER

3-8

OFFENSE

The Plainsmen were able to advance to the playoffs last season and they enter this season ready to get back to the postseason. They bring back some familiar faces from a year ago and head coach Cameron Conder is excited to see what his squad is able to accomplish this season. “We bring back a ton of skill players on both offense and defense,” the coach said. “We will need to rely on the experience we gained last year in my first year as head coach. We want to play fast and physical on both sides of the ball. With a tough slate of district opponents, our team will look to once again be playing in the playoffs.” One key player returning will be running back Blake Fuksa (5-10, 190, Sr.), who had 1,018 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. He is expected to continue to have a big impact on the season. The Plainsmen also have a trio of receivers that should play a role this year. Tyson Kennedy (5-10, 190, Jr.) has had 80 catches over the past two seasons, and he should see increased production this season. Joining him at receiver is Zyire Allen (6-1, 175, Sr.). Allen registered 42 receptions last season and added six touchdowns. Another receiver to keep an eye on is Keon Young (6-1, 175, So.) who had a lot of potential and could be a big-time player. Aidan Robinson (6-0, 170, Sr.) and Isreal Gonzoles (5-11, 170, Sr.) both have the opportunity to see time at quarterback this season.

DEFENSE

After a rough season a year ago that saw them give up an average of 46 points per game, the Plainsmen defense is lookingto be more improved this season. Kennedy will be back at free safety and looking to continue to be a problem for opponents. In the past two seasons, he has accumulated 15 interceptions. Also in the secondary will be Brady Beierschmitt (5-10, 150, Sr.), who will look to slow down opposing receivers. The Plainsmen also have four solid guys that will be taking care of things on the defensive line. Luka Sears (6-3, 260, Jr.), Jradden Russell (6-0, 230, Sr.), Jarrett Russell (6-0, 230, Sr.), and Colt Newman (6-1, 250, Jr.) will all try to wreak havoc up front. Assistant coaches for the Plainsmen this season will be Kareem Sears, Rick Luetjen, Squire Logan, Seth Ellis, Patrick Martin, Paul Raupe, Chris Percival, Kyle Young, Lucas McNatt, Denom Sullivan, and Jarrod Coleman
